Finding the Zone: Pool Academy

Privacy Policy

Your practice records stay on your device unless you choose to export them. The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics, or tracking services.

Information the app stores

The app stores your selected game, preferences, favorite drills, routines, unfinished practice, course progress, session scores, dates, and journal notes on your device. It uses these records to resume practice, organize routines, and display your progress. It does not send these records to the developer or to an app server.

The Android app does not request internet, location, contacts, camera, microphone, or advertising-identifier permissions. Its lessons, diagrams, drills, and practice tools work offline. It contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Backups and restoration

Export creates an unencrypted JSON file containing your saved app records. You choose the destination using your device’s file picker. If you select a cloud-storage provider or later share that file, the provider or recipient receives the records you choose to export and handles them under its own policies. There is no automatic developer-operated cloud backup or synchronization.

Restore reads the backup file you select and replaces the app’s saved records after confirmation. Keep backup files private, especially if your journal contains personal information.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you delete them, replace them through restoration, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Use Journal → Delete all data to reset your saved practice records. Exported backups are separate files and are not removed by this action or by uninstalling the app; delete those files separately from their saved locations.

The developer cannot view, recover, or remotely delete records stored only on your device. In the browser edition, records are stored in that browser’s local storage and can also be removed by clearing its site data.

Security

Android keeps app records in the app’s storage area. The app does not provide its own password lock or additional encryption for records or exported backups. Someone with access to your unlocked device or browser profile may be able to read your notes. Use your device’s screen lock and protect any backup files you retain.

External websites

Optional reference links open third-party websites when you select them. Those websites may receive connection information, including your IP address and browser details, and may use cookies under their own privacy policies. Opening a reference link does not send your saved practice records to that site.

Google Play purchases

If you purchase the app through Google Play, Google processes the transaction under its own policies. The app does not request or store payment-card details and contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Google may make purchase and transaction information available to the developer through its merchant services; that information is separate from the app’s local practice records.

Support correspondence

If you email southlinesoftware@gmail.com, your email address, message, and any attachments are received through Gmail and used to respond to your request and resolve support issues. Do not send practice backups or other personal information unless needed for your request. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the request and related follow-up, or to meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the same address; records required for legal obligations may need to be retained.

Younger users

The app’s declared Google Play audience is ages 16–17 and adults. The app does not request an age or date of birth and does not transmit practice records from users of any age to the developer.

This policy webpage

We have not added advertising trackers, analytics scripts, forms or tracking pixels to this page. Wix hosts this website and may process connection information and use hosting or security technologies under its own policies. Visiting this page does not give it access to the app’s saved practice records.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated with a revised effective date. Relevant app and Google Play disclosures will also be updated.
